What are Automated Feeds?

Automated feeds are configurations in Flockler that collect content automatically from supported sources: social media platforms, RSS feeds, Google Reviews, and more, and store them in Sections. Instead of manually adding posts one by one, you can set up a feed once and let Flockler fetch new content for you in the background.

It’s really easy to set up. Just go to the 'Feeds' tab, click [Add a new  Automated Feed], and our bot will guide you through the steps one by one.

For example, all posts from your Instagram account count as one feed, and collecting content from a hashtag would be another.

A feed can only have one source and one configuration, so you can’t mix them—like using the same hashtag across Instagram and X, combining a mention and a hashtag in one feed, or adding multiple hashtags from the same platform. Each hashtag, mention, or account setup is a separate feed.

However, when you build your display, you can show posts from different sources in the same Wall, Grid, Carousel, or Slideshow layout.  Check how to do that here

Key points about automated feeds

Update frequency

All automated feeds update every 5 minutes, except YouTube (20 minutes), and X updates twice a day by default, and X hashtag/keyword feeds are limited to pulling only 10 posts per update. Find out more about how to avoid X limitations here

Pause or delete anytime

You can pause or delete a feed at any time without losing posts already stored in your Section.

This is very useful if you organise hashtag campaigns and events throughout the year. Check what happens if you remove an automated feed here

Flexible moderation

As you set up your feed, you’ll be prompted to turn on moderation. You can choose:

• Display automatically - no moderation applied
• Save for moderation - Review posts manually before publishing.

• Use Garde AI moderation to filter content automatically
