What is a section?

Think of a section like a folder where you store and organise your content. Feeds configure content into Flockler, but the content itself actually lives inside sections. From sections, you then organise, manage, and later display your posts.

You can create a section directly when setting up a feed. While configuring it, you will be prompted with this option. For example, if you’re collecting posts from a specific username on X, the system will prompt you to choose the existing section (if they want to mix the content by default) OR create a new section.

If you prefer, you can also create a section in advance from the Sections tab and then connect your feed to it later.

If you put all your content into one single section, it might be quite complicated to separate it for different displays in the future. Creating multiple sections helps you keep content organised.

Once a section has content in it, you can manage it: hide posts, edit them, move them up or down, or pin specific posts to the top, add CTA, tag, or Alt text.

When your content is ready, go to the Display tab, choose the layout you like, and select which sections you want to show. You can display one section, several, or all of them.
