How to add Flockler to TYPO3

Adding a social media feed to any TYPO3 page takes less than five minutes and doesn’t require technical skills.

Here’s a three-step guide on how to add a social media feed to TYPO3:

Step 1: Create automated feeds collecting content from your favourite social media channels

If you already have collected content with Flockler, skip to step 2.

If you don’t have a free trial account with Flockler yet, register an account on our website. After signing up, our lovely bot will welcome you and helps you to gather content from Instagram, Facebook, X, Bluesky, YouTube, and more (see the list of supported content sources).

You can add content from multiple social media channels and display them in one feed, but here’s a quick video on how to gather hashtags on X:

By default, the automated feeds gather new content every 5-15 minutes. You can choose the moderate all content before displaying it on your website.

Step 2: Choose a layout

After setting up an automated feed displaying fresh content from social media channels, the second step is to choose your feed layout. Go to the ‘Display’ tab and choose your layout:

Step 3: Embed a social media feed on any TYPO3 page

Now that you’ve created an embed code, the last step is to add it to any TYPO3 page. You can add Flockler’s embed code to your homepage or any of the individual pages and blog posts you might have.

In TYPO3, open the editor of a page and click the ‘+Content’ button.

From the options, select the ‘Special elements’ tab and a ‘Plain HTML’ element.

Then add Flockler’s embed code to the editor and click ‘Save’.

That’s it! A beautiful social media feed shows up on your website.

You can add Flockler’s embed code to an unlimited number of pages, and you can use all the layouts. There are no additional charges based on page views or the number of embed codes.
