If you’d like the Wall, Grid, Carousel, or Slideshow layout to display posts by a specific product category, there are two options:
Manually choose the product category for the display layout.
Set the product category filtering dynamically on your webshop.
In this article, we will walk you through the first option. This option is recommended for those with a few product categories that remain relatively static over time.
However, if you have a lot of products tagged in Flockler and a large number of product categories, the second option is highly recommended. Learn how to set the product category filtering dynamically.
Manually choose the product category for the display layout
To manually choose the product category and create an embed code:
Before you start, make sure the product data you’ve submitted to Flockler supports Google’s category ids.
Then, tag products on social media items in the 'Commerce' tab.
After tagging a handful of products, navigate to the 'Display' tab, click the 'Create a new layout' button or edit one of the existing layouts.
Next, click 'Edit style & settings', scroll down to the 'Filter by a product or category' part, and search for the product category.
Finally, click the 'Save changes' button, and the embed code shows posts from a chosen product category.
