An Instagram feed embedded on a website

Adding a social media feed to Wix takes a couple of minutes. Follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Create automated feeds gathering content from social media channels.

  • Step 2: Select a layout (Wall, Grid, or Carousel).

  • Step 3: Embed the layout to any page on Wix.

If you have already gathered content to your Flockler and have created an embed code on the 'Display' tab, skip to Step 3.

Step 1: Create automated feeds gathering content from social media channels.

If you are just getting started with Flockler, the first step is to gather content from Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, etc. (see the list of supported social media channels and content types). The easiest way to do that is to create an automated feed that gathers content every 5-15 minutes without any manual work.

You can gather content from multiple social media channels and display them all in one place. Here’s a quick video on how to set up an automated feed gathering content from any public Facebook Page:

Step 2: Select a layout (Wall, Grid, or Carousel)

Once you’ve got some content stored with Flockler, click 'Display' in Flockler’s navigation, and select a layout for your feed.

After selecting your layout, you’ll receive a preview URL and an embed code to add to the Wix editor.

Step 3: Embed the layout to any page on Wix

The final step is to add Flockler to any page on Wix. The process is slightly different depending on the choice of the Wix editor (classic or ADI). Here are quick instructions for both versions.

Embedding Flockler with the (classic) Wix Editor

Click the + button on the left, choose 'Embed' and then 'Embed a widget' from the available options.

Add an element to a Wix page

Resize the element and then click the 'Enter code' button.

Click 'Enter code' button on the Wix Editor

Go to Flockler’s ‘Display’ tab and copy and paste the embed code to Wix’s editor.

Add an embed code to the Wix Editor

Click the ‘Update’ button, and your social media feed appears on the page.

Then click to 'Publish' your updated version of the site, and a beautiful social media feed is displayed on your site.

Embedding Flockler with the Wix ADI

Open the editor and click + icon on the page, and select the position where you’d like to display the Instagram feed.

Add an element with the Wix ADI editor

Then select ‘HTML Embed’ and one of the ready templates.

Selecting 'HTML Embed' from the available options

Click ‘Settings’ next to HTML.

Editing HTML element on the Wix ADI editor

Make sure you select ‘Website’ from the two embed types and add the ‘Preview’ URL of Flockler to the editor. You can find the ‘Preview’ URL from Flockler’s Display tab. Note that you can change the width and height available for the Flockler layout, too.

Adding Flockler to a Wix page

That’s it. Click to 'Publish' the new version of your website, and Flockler’s social media feed is displayed on your Wix.
